Immunostimulatory Effect Of Aqueous Extract Of Leucas aspera In Cyclophosphamide Induced Immunosuppressive Mice

Immunostimulatory effect of aqueous extract of Leucas aspera was evaluated in cyclophosphamide induced immunosuppressive mice. The results clearly show that the aqueous extract of this plant significantly increase the Neutrophil and DTH activity. The extract also elevates the levels of RBC, WBC and Hemoglobin remarkably in immunosuppressive mice(p<0.05). This indicates that Leucas aspera provoke both cellular and humoral immune response that is used to treat immunosuppressive disorders.
