Computation on Zagreb Polynomial of Some Families of Dendrimers

In mathematical chemistry, a particular attention is given to degree-based graph invariant. The Zagrebpolynomial is one of the degree based polynomials considered in chemical graph theory. A dendrimer isan artificially manufactured or synthesized molecule built up from branched units called monomers. Inthis note, the first, second and third Zagreb poly...

A numerical study of electrohydrodynamic flow analysis in a circular cylindrical conduit using orthonormal Bernstein polynomials

In this work, the nonlinear boundary value problem in electrohydrodynamics flow of a fluid in an ion-drag configuration in a circular cylindrical conduit is studied numerically. An effective collocation method, which is based on orthonormal Bernstein polynomials is employed to simulate the solution of this model. Some properties of orthonormal Bernstein polynomials are introduced and utilized t...

The computation and some spectral considerations on line spectrum pairs (LSP)

ln this paper two aspects of Une Spectrum Pair (LSP) representation of speech are investigated: the method of converting Linear Predictive Coding (LPC) coefficients to LSP frequencies and the relationships between LPC spectrum and LSP frequencies. A new approach to LSP extraction is proposed which exploits the interframe redundancy of LSP frequencies in order to ensure, on the average, a low co...

Linear Response Eigenvalue Problem Solved by Extended Locally Optimal Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient Methods

The locally optimal block preconditioned 4-d conjugate gradient method (LOBP4dCG) for the linear response eigenvalue problem was proposed in [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl., 34(2):392–416, 2013] and later was extended to the generalized linear response eigenvalue problem in [BIT Numer. Math., 54(1):31–54, 2014]. In this paper, we put forward two improvements to the method: a shifting deflation tech...

Line spectrum pair (LSP) and speech data compression

Line Spectrum Pair (LSP) was first introduced by Itakura [1,21 as an alternative LPC spectral representations. It was found that this new representation has such interesting properties as (I) all zeros of LSP polynomials are on the unit circle, (2) the corresponding zeros of the symmetric and anti-symmetric LSP polynomials are interlaced, and (3) the reconstructed LPC all-pole filter preserves ...
