Samples A was found to lose 5.3, 12, 28 and 39 %wt:wt of the amount of ATO originally present due to thermal ageing and UV exposure, respectively. Thermal ageing was performed at 25, 60 and 90 °C compared to 11.0, 17.3, 26.0 and 20.4 % wt:wt of ATO for sample B. The release follows first order kinetics with rate constants of 7.59×10‐3, 1.89×10‐2, 4.80×10‐2 and 2.60×10‐2 day‐1, respectively, for type A and 9.20×10‐3, 2.06×10‐2, 4.10×10‐2 and 3.83×10‐2 day‐1 for type B aged at 25, 60, 90 °C and UV exposure, respectively. Migration of ATO from the backcoated textile into simulated biological fluids was also studied for different type of samples under different ageing conditions using Head‐over‐Heels and contact blotting tests. The presence of biological fluids enhances the migration of ATO.

Introduction: The lymphatic system provides one of the main paths for the spread (Metastasis) of cancer from one part of body to another. Hodgkin’s diseases, lymphocytic leukemia, various metastatic disease and many lymph node disorders can be assessed by lymphoscintigraphy. Radionuclide lymphoscintigraphy has been used for many years to define lymphatic drainage of melanoma. The most com...

A Michaelis-Menten (MM)-like kinetic model for pulmonary clearance and retention of insoluble dusts was developed and validated by comparing our predictions with experimental data from F344 rats. Published data from inhalation studies involving accumulation and elimination of photocopy test toner, antimony trioxide, carbon black, and diesel exhaust particles were investigated. Numerical integra...
متن کاملThe Effect of HLB on the Release Profile of Atenolol from Ethyl Cellulose-coated Tablets
It is possible to alter the permeability of ethyl cellulose membrane with certain materials such as surfactants. In this study the effect of surfactant concentration and different HLB values on the release rate of atenolol from ethyl cellulose-coated tablets was evaluated. The results showed that when the concentration of surfactant increased, the rate of drug release also increased. The kineti...

Aim: The objective of this work was to study the effects of formulation variables on the release kinetics of paracetamol tablet formulation. Materials and Methods: Paracetamol tablets were formulated using wet granulation (WG) and direct compression (DC) using two predetermined pressures. Avicel, dicalcium phosphate (DCP) and pregelatinized starch (PGS) were used as directly compressible...
