Fluorescence emission from dendrimers and its pH dependence.

چکیده
A strong fluorescence emission was observed from different kinds of dendrimers under acidic condition. There was a remarkable difference in fluorescence properties between second and fourth generation NH2-terminated poly(amido amine) dendrimers. It can be assumed that the backbone of the dendrimer played the key role in forming the novel fluorescent center.

The pKa value of the active site histidine in photo-oxidised papain.
It has recently been suggested that the active site histidine residue in papain and stem-bromelain have pK, values of 6.7 and 6.4 respectively and since these enzymes are essentially pH-independent for substrate hydrolysis at these pH values, histidine is not directly involved in their catalytic mechanism [l-3] This conclusion is based on photo-oxidation experiments during which the active site...

The fluorescence detection of ultra high energy cosmic rays requires a detailed knowledge of the fluorescence light emission from nitrogen molecules over a wide range of atmospheric parameters, corresponding to altitudes typical of the cosmic ray shower development in the atmosphere. We have studied the temperature and humidity dependence of the fluorescence light spectrum excited by MeV electr...

Bis-MPA dendron-coated free-base tetraphenylporphyrin and zinc-tetraphenyl-porphyrin (TPPH(2) and TPPZn) were studied in comparison with simple porphyrins (H(2)P, ZnP) by theoretical simulation of their infrared, Raman and electronic absorption spectra, as well as fluorescense emission. Infrared and fluorescence spectra of the dendrimers were measured and interpreted along with time-resolved me...
