چکیده

Voice over IP (VOIP) the transmis sion of voice over traditional packetswitched IP networks is one of the hottest trends in telecommunications. As with any new technology, VOIP introduces both opportunities and security challenges. Lower cost and greater flexibility are among the prom ises of VOIP for the enterprise, but security administrators will face signif icant issues. Administrators may assume that since digitized voice trav els in packets, they can simply plug VOIP components into their alreadysecured networks and expect a stable and secure voice network. Unfortu nately, many of the tools used to safe guard today’s computer networks, namely firewalls, Network Address Translation (NAT), and encryption, don’t work “as is” in a VOIP network.

Securing VOIP networks via Transport protocols Layer

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. VoIP services have compelling technical advantages over circuit switching. VoIP networks are based more on an open architecture than that of their circuit-switched contemporaries. This open, standards-based architecture means...

A QoS of VoIP over WiMAX Access Networks

Voice over Internet Protocol is a rapid growing technology which enables the transport of voice data over Internet Protocol based networks. Voice over Internet Protocol has become a possible alternative to Public Switched Telephone Network due to its capabilities to transport voice data in the form of digital Internet Protocol packets over the TCP/IP based Internet. In parallel, a remarkable in...
