چکیده

Abstract – In simultaneous registration and tracking with multiple radars, measurements from geographically distributed radars must be transmitted to a common location where a multi-input tracker simultaneously estimates registered trajectories and radar biases. However, due to band limited communication links, this architecture is impractical. An alternative is to carry out sensorlevel tracking and then transmit the unregistered track estimates to a fusion centre. Owing to the registration errors, any direct track-to-track association and fusion is usually ineffective. This paper presents a recursive algorithm for joint registration and track-to-track fusion based on equivalent measurements generated by geographically separated radar trackers. The method is conditional on the sensor measurement models being available at the fusion centre. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm adequately estimates the biases, and the resulting central-level tracks are free of registration errors. 1

Track-to-Track Fusion Configurations and Association in a Sliding Window

Track-to-track fusion (T2TF) is very important in distributed tracking systems. Compared to the centralized measurement fusion (CMF), T2TF can be done at a lower rate and thus has potentially lower communication requirements. In this paper we investigate the optimal T2TF algorithms under linear Gaussian (LG) assumption, which can operate at an arbitrary rate for various information configuratio...

Tracker fusion for robustness in visual

Task-directed vision obviates the need for general image comprehension by focusing attention only on features which contribute useful information to the task at hand. Window-based visual tracking has helped make long strides in research along this paradigm as motion tracking becomes a problem of local search in a small image region. While the gains in speed from such methods allow for real-time...

The optimality for the distributed Kalman filtering fusion with feedback

A rigorous performance analysis is dedicated to the distributed Kalman "ltering fusion with feedback for distributed recursive state estimators of dynamic systems. It is shown that the Kalman "ltering track fusion formula with feedback is, like the track fusion without feedback, exactly equivalent to the corresponding centralizedKalman "ltering formula. Moreover, the so-calledPmatrices in the f...

Robust Track Association and Fusion with Extended Feature Matching

In this work, we propose a new data processing architecture as well as track association and fusion algorithms to improve target classification and tracking accuracy using distributed and, possibly, legacysensor platforms. We present a robust data fusion algorithm that can incorporate target classes/types at the fusion center when receiving sensor reports and/or local tracks. We aim to tackle t...

A Generalized Information Matrix Fusion Based Heterogeneous Track-to-Track Fusion Algorithm

The problem of Track-to-Track Fusion (T2TF) is very important for distributed tracking systems. It allows the use of the hierarchical fusion structure, where local tracks are sent to the fusion center (FC) as summaries of local information about the states of the targets, and fused to get the global track estimates. Compared to the centralized measurement-to-track fusion (CTF), the T2TF approac...
