You listen with great appreciation to compositions by William Herschel (1738–1822), Hector Berlioz (1803–1869), Aleksandr Borodin (1833–1887), Sir Edward Elgar (1857– 1934) and Ernest Ansermet (1883–1969); and new pieces by Iannis Xenakis (b. 1922) and Richard Bing (b. 1909).
