Evolving by Maximizing the Number of Rules: Complexity Study Mutual Mobile Membrane Systems with Surface Objects

چکیده
In [20] we presented a semantic study of a language LJ that extends Hoares CSP model with communication on multiple channels and synchronization based on join patterns in the style of Join calculus. In this paper we consider a language L2 J that extends LJ with second order communication: sending and receiving of statements rather than values. We employ the mathematical methodology of metric semantics in designing and relating a denotational and an operational semantics for L2J. The semantic models are designed with continuations for concurrency.

Mutual Mobile Membranes Systems with Surface Objects
In this paper we introduce mutual mobile membranes with surface objects, systems which have biological motivation. In P systems with mobile membranes with surface objects, a membrane may enter or exit another membrane. The second membrane just undergoes the action, meaning that it has no control on when the movement takes place. This kind of movement illustrates the lack of an agreement (synchr...
متن کاملEvolving by Maximizing the Number of Rules: Complexity Study
This paper presents the complexity of finding the multiset of rules in a P system in such a way to have a maximal number of rules applied. It is proved that the decision version of this problem is NP-complete. We study a number of subproblems obtained by considering that a rule can be applied at most once, and by considering the number of objects in the alphabet of the membrane as being fixed. ...

Systems Architecture is a generic discipline to handle objects (existing or to be created) called systems, in a way that supports reasoning about the structural properties of these objects. Systems Architecture is a response to the conceptual and practical difficulties of the description and the design of complex systems. Systems Architecture is a generic discipline to handle objects (existin...
متن کاملExtending the Qualitative Trajectory Calculus Based on the Concept of Accessibility of Moving Objects in the Paths
Qualitative spatial representation and reasoning are among the important capabilities in intelligent geospatial information system development. Although a large contribution to the study of moving objects has been attributed to the quantitative use and analysis of data, such calculations are ineffective when there is little inaccurate data on position and geometry or when explicitly explaining ...
متن کاملComputing with cells: membrane systems - some complexity issues
Membrane computing is a branch of natural computing which abstracts computing models from the structure and the functioning of the living cell. The main ingredients of membrane systems, called P systems, are (i) the membrane structure, which consists of a hierarchical arrangements of membranes which delimit compartments where (ii) multisets of symbols, called objects, evolve according to (iii) ...
