3d Aids Cooperation with Diagrams That Think

A set of fundamental types of high-level interaction with diagrams is proposed. VIM, a prototype KBS with a 3D cooperative diagram as its user interface illustrates diierent layers of cooperation reeecting this classii-cation. Also a number of ways in which 3D aids such cooperation are identiied.
