MSMAS: Modelling Self-managing Multi Agent Systems
نویسندگان
چکیده
Although Multi Agent Systems (MAS) have attracted a great deal of attention in the field of software engineering, with their promise of capturing complex systems, they remain far away from commercial popularity mainly due to the accessibility of MAS methodologies for commercial developers. In this paper we present a practical method for developing self-managing MAS that we believe enables not only software developers but also business people beyond the academic community to design and develop MAS using familiar concepts. We present the main three phases of the proposed methodology, with details and examples of all the visual models, followed by details of its supporting metamodel, in which we describes the MAS concepts used and their relationships. In particular, the methodology features 1. a formal specification mechanism for system norms 2. offers organizational support of MAS through institutions, and 3. supports self-management explicitly through dynamic planning.

متن کاملDesigning Adaptive Multi-agent Systems by Agent-Oriented Modelling
The challenges in creating software for modern complex and distributed computing environments are time-sensitivity, uncertainty, unpredictability, and openness. It is a problem how to design systems that work effectively in the modern environment, where computing is pervasive, people interact with technology existing in a variety of networks, and under a range of policies and constraints impose...
متن کاملA Self-organized Multi Agent Decision Making System Based on Fuzzy Probabilities: The Case of Aphasia Diagnosis
Aphasia diagnosis is a challenging medical diagnostic task due to the linguistic uncertainty and vagueness, large number of measurements with imprecision, inconsistencies in the definition of Aphasic syndromes, natural diversity and subjectivity in test objects as well as in options of experts who diagnose the disease. In this paper we present a new self-organized multi agent system that diagno...
متن کاملVariable Structure Behavioural Controller for Multi-agent Systems
In previous papers authors have considered agents as inertia-less self driven particles and designed a flocking algorithm. Application of this algorithm to agents with considerable inertial characteristics needs a behavioural controller. The controller uses the local information and helps every agent to imitate the desired behaviour as a member of the flocking frame which covers the main is...
متن کاملSelf-Organization of Open Complex Distributed Systems
Self-organization has been investigated for long in a very broad range of areas. However, only till recently has self-managing and self-organizing computing received intensive attention. The purpose of this paper is to discuss some of important basic problems of selfmanaging and self-organizing computing, including the essence of self-managing computing, generic architecture of computing, real ...
