چکیده
The Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) equations in coordinate representation are solved exactly, i.e., with correct asymptotic boundary conditions for the continuous spectrum. The calculations are performed with effective Skyrme interactions. The exact HFB solutions are compared with HFB calculations based on box boundary conditions and with resonant continuum Hartree-Fock-BCS (HF-BCS) results. The comparison is done for the neutronrich Ni isotopes. It is shown that close to the drip line the amount of pairing correlations depends on how the continuum coupling is treated. On the other hand, the resonant continuum HF-BCS results are generally close to those of HFB even in neutron-rich nuclei.

Pairing and continuum effects on low-frequency quadrupole vibrations in deformed Mg isotopes close to the neutron drip line
Low-frequency quadrupole vibrational modes in deformed 36,38,40Mg close to the neutron drip line are studied by means of the quasiparticle-random-phase approximation based on the coordinate-space Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov formalism. Strongly collective Kπ = 0+ and 2+ excitation modes carrying 10 − 20 Weisskopf units in the intrinsic isoscalar quadrupole transition strengths are obtained at about ...

The transition density and current provide valuable insight into the nature of nuclear vibrations. Nuclear vorticity is a quantity related to the transverse transition current. In this work, we study the evolution of the strength distribution, related to density fluctuations, and the vorticity strength distribution, as the neutron drip line is approached. Our results on the isoscalar, natural-p...

The pair correlation is known to play central roles in characterizing various structure aspects of nuclei[ 1]. As far as nuclei near the stability line are concerned, the energy scale of the correlation, the pair gap ∆ ∼ 1 − 2 MeV, is much smaller than the other fundamental energy scales, the Fermi energy eF ∼ 40 MeV, the shell gap ∼ several MeV and the nucleon separation energy ∼ 8 MeV. This s...

The two-body momentum distribution η 2 (p 1 , p 2) of nuclei is studied. First, a compact analytical expression is derived for Z = N , ℓ-closed nuclei, within the context of the independent particle shell model. Application to the light closed-shell nucleus 16 O is included and discussed. Next, the effect of dynamical, short-range correlations is investigated in the case of the light nucleus 4 ...
متن کاملContinuum effects on the pairing in neutron drip-line nuclei studied with the canonical-basis HFB method
The canonical-basis HFB method provides an efficient way to describe pairing correlations involving the continuum part of the single-particle spectrum in coordinate-space representations. It can be applied to super-conducting deformed drip-line nuclei as easily as to stable or spherical nuclei. This method is applied to a simulation of the approach to the neutron drip line. It turns out that th...
