Post-graduate Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science Proposed by the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova

At the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science 39 doctors of science and 13 doctors habilitat of science do research in the field of mathematics and computer science. The training of postgraduate students has been one of their most important activities. Researchers and postgraduate students of the institute defended 210 doctor theses and 24 doctor habilitat theses, many of them now work at universities and research institutes in the Republic of Moldova and other countries.stitute has two specialized scientific councils for conferring the academic degrees of doctor of science and doctor habilitat of science in mathematics and computer science. Scientific results of researchers of the institute are published in various specialized journals world wide and in two journals issued by the institute: " Buletinul Academiei de S ¸tiint¸e a Republicii Moldova. Matematica " and " Computer Science Journal of Moldova ". These two journals are distributed in more than 160 scientific centers and universities of 48 countries. The institute of Mathematics and Computer Science is situated in Chi¸sin˘ au, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, which is in SouthEastern Europe and belongs to countries of the Basin of the Black Sea. Chi¸sin˘ au is the main scientific, educational and cultural center of Moldova and one of the oldest and most important cities of the country. It has a long history, more of than 560 years, its population amounts to about 1 million. In Chi¸sin˘ au there are 30 universities and 15 centers of culture and arts. Chi¸sin˘ au has air communications with many countries of the world via various airline companies.
