چکیده

We consider dynamics of financial market as dynamics of expectations and discuss such a dynamics from the point of view of phe-nomenological thermodynamics. We describe financial Carnot cycle and financial analogue of heat machine. We see, that while in physics perpetuum mobile is absolutely impossible, in economics this may happen under some conditions. In econophysics different analogies between economics and thermodynam-ics were discussed, see, for example, [1]-[5]. Here we want to discuss the analogies between thermodynamics and financial market. We start with the statement, see, e.g., [6]-[9] that financial market works with objects which have virtual, or better to say cognitive, nature. These objects are expectations of participants of the market about say prices of shares of some company. We insist that this object has no direct relations to something existing in physical reality (while indirect relation is quite possible). Expectations, of course, are related to what the company produces, but we 1

We discuss the role of two fundamental assumptions locality and realism in Bell's considerations. We demonstrated that by deriving an analogue of Bell's inequality for conditional probabilities it is possible to prove directly (i.e., without appealing to the locality assumption) that Bellian realism is incompatible with quantum mechanics

2 1 Ja n 20 13 Maxwell ’ s Demon and Maxwell - Boltzmann Distribution

In a simple model of Maxwell’s demon endowed with a Turing-type memory tape, we present an operational derivation of the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution in the equilibrium statistical mechanics. It is based solely on the combined gas law of the elementary thermodynamics for the model of the memory. Equilibrium is defined in terms of the stability of thermodynamic work F against noise, where F is...

Landauer’s principle, often regarded as the basic principle of the thermodynamics of information processing, holds that any logically irreversible manipulation of information, such as the erasure of a bit or the merging of two computation paths, must be accompanied by a corresponding entropy increase in noninformation-bearing degrees of freedom of the information processing apparatus or its env...

Demons : Maxwell ’ S Demon , Szilard ’ S Engine and Landauer ’ S Erasure – Dissipation Laszlo

This talk addressed the following questions in the public debate at HoTPI: (i) energy dissipation limits of switches, memories and control; (ii) whether reversible computers are possible, or does their concept violate thermodynamics; (iii) Szilard’s engine, Maxwell’s demon and Landauer’s principle: corrections to their exposition in the literature; (iv) whether Landauer’s erasure– dissipation p...

v 1 3 1 A ug 2 00 4 Principle of supplementarity : contextual probabilistic viewpoint to interference , complementarity and incompatibility

There is presented a contextual statistical model of the proba-bilistic description of physical reality. Here contexts (complexes of physical conditions) are considered as basic elements of reality. There is discussed the relation with QM. We propose a realistic analogue of Bohr's principle of complementarity. In the opposition to the Bohr's principle, our principle has no direct relation with ...
