Honesty via Choice-Matching
نویسنده
چکیده
We propose scoring rule mechanisms for eliciting honest responses to a multiple choice question, MCQ. The respondent’s score consists of two terms: an auxiliary score based on his response to a related auxiliary question, and the corresponding scores of other respondents giving the same response as him to the MCQ. For this to work, the auxiliary score has to be truth-incentive for the auxiliary question, which can be accomplished by using strictly proper scoring rules, and the auxiliary question has to be sufficiently correlated with the MCQ.

A compact microstrip-fed antenna with dual notched bands is proposed. First, a simple basic configuration is presented for Ultra Wide Band (UWB) applications and then the dual band notched structure is extended from the UWB one. The basic structure of the UWB antenna consists of a simple square radiating patch and a ground plane with a wide square slot on back of the substrate. A semi-circle sh...

Previous research emphasizes the importance of honesty (or the absence of lying) in adolescent-parent communication as it is ultimately linked to adolescent non-delinquency (Engels, Finkenauer, & van Kooten, 2006). Empirical evidence also suggests that positive parental practices may prevent adolescents' lying (Darling, Cumsille, Caldwell, & Dowdy, 2006; Jensen, Arnett, Feldman, & Cauffman, 200...

Selection statements – if-then-else, switch and try-catch – are commonly used in modern imperative programming languages. We propose another selection statement called a choice existentially quantified statement. This statement turns out to be quite useful for pattern matching among several merits. Examples will be provided for this statement. keywords: selection, pattern matching, choice quant...
