چکیده

The implications of the latest data pertaining to ū−d̄ asymmetry and the spin polarization functions on the contributions of singlet Goldstone Boson η′ within χCQM with configuration mixing for explaining the “proton spin problem” have been investigated. It is found that the present data favors smaller values of the coupling of singlet Goldstone Boson η′ as compared to the corresponding contributions from π, K and η Goldstone bosons. It seems that a small non-zero value of the coupling of η′ (ζ 6= 0) is preferred over ζ = 0 phenomenologically. The chiral constituent quark model (χCQM), as formulated by Manohar and Georgi [1, 2], has recently got good deal of attention [3, 4, 5, 6] as it is successful in not only explaining the “proton spin crisis” [7, 8, 9, 10] through the emission of a Goldstone boson (GB) but is also able to account for the ū − d̄ asymmetry [11, 12, 13], existence of significant strange quark content s̄ in the nucleon, various quark flavor contributions to the proton spin [3], baryon magnetic moments [3, 4] and hyperon β−decay parameters etc.. Recently, it has been shown that configuration mixing generated by spinspin forces [14, 15, 16], known to be compatible with the χCQM [17, 18, 19],

Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model and Isospin for the Baryon Static Properties

So far the static properties of hadrons have been introduced in various models. The static properties of hadrons (charge radius, magnetic moment, etc.) are useful for understanding the quark structure of hadron. In this work we have introduced the hypercentral constituent quark and isospin dependent potentials. Here constituent quarks interact with each other via a potential in which we have ta...

طیف مزونها و وابستگی به پتانسیلهای فوق ریز

In most models, mesons consist of quark -antiquark pairs moving in a confining potential. However, it would be interesting to consider the effect of an extra residual interaction by introducing the quark particles which contain a dependent spin and isospin. In the Chiral constituent quark model, the hyperfine part of the potential is provided by the interaction of the Goldstone bosons, which ...

Correspondence between QCD sum rules and constituent quark models

We compare two widely used approaches to the description of hadron properties: QCD sum rules and constituent quark models. Making use of the dispersion formulation of the quark model, we show that both approaches lead to similar spectral representations for hadron observables with an important difference that quark model is based on Feynman diagrams with massive quarks, whereas QCD sum rules ar...

Chiral properties of the constituent quark model

We show that, in a model based exclusively on constituent-quark degrees of freedom interacting via a potential, the full axial current is conserved if the spectrum of Q̄Q states contains a massless pseudoscalar. The current conservation emerges nonperturbatively if the model satisfies certain constraints on (i) the axial coupling gA of the constituent quark and (ii) the Q̄Q potential at large dis...

Further Comments on a Vanishing Singlet Axial Vector Charge

The recent suggestion of a vanishing flavor-singlet axial charge of nucleon due to a nontrivial vacuum structure is further amplified. A perturbative QCD discussion, applicable for the heavy quark contributions, relates it to the physics of the decoupling theorem. It is also shown that g A ≃ 0 leads to a negative η-meson-quark coupling, which has been found to be compatible with the chiral quar...
