چکیده
Spin dynamics in the generalized ferromagnetic Kondo model for manganites. Dynamical spin susceptibility is calculated for the generalized ferromagnetic Kondo model which describes itinerant e g electrons interacting with localized t 2g electrons with antiferromagnetic coupling. The calculations done in the mean field approximation show that the spin-wave spectrum of the system in ferromagnetic state has two branches, acoustic and optic ones. Self-energy corrections to the spectrum are considered and the acoustic spin-wave damping is evaluated.

Electronic correlations in manganites
The influence of local electronic correlations on the properties of colossal magnetoresistive manganites is investigated. To this end, a ferromagnetic two-band Kondo lattice model is supplemented with the local Coulomb repulsion missing in this model and is analyzed within dynamical mean-field theory. Results for the spectral function, optical conductivity, and the paramagnetic-to-ferromagnetic...
متن کاملThe Ferromagnetic Kondo Model for Manganites: Phase Diagram and Charge Segregation Effects
The phase diagram of the ferromagnetic Kondo model for manganites is investigated using computational techniques. In clusters of dimensions 1 and 2, Monte Carlo simulations in the limit where the localized spins are classical show a rich low temperature phase diagram with three dominant regions: (i) a ferromagnetic phase, (ii) phase separation between hole-poor antiferromagnetic and hole-rich f...

Colossal magnetoresistance in metallic oxides such as R1−xXxMnO3 (where R = La, Pr,Nd; X = Sr,Ca,Ba,Pb) is attracting considerable attention [1] due to its potential technological applications. A variety of experiments have revealed that oxide manganites have a rich phase diagram [2] with regions of antiferromagnetic (AF) and ferromagnetic (FM) order, as well as charge ordering, and a peculiar ...
متن کاملPhase coexistence and resistivity near the ferromagnetic transition of manganites.
Pairing of oxygen holes into heavy bipolarons in the paramagnetic phase and their magnetic pair breaking in the ferromagnetic phase (the so-called current-carrier density collapse) has accounted for the first-order ferromagnetic-phase transition, colossal magnetoresistance, isotope effect, and pseudogap in doped manganites. Here we propose an explanation of the phase coexistence and describe th...
متن کاملInfluence of nearest-neighbor Coulomb interactions on the phase diagram of the ferromagnetic Kondo model
The influence of a nearest-neighbor Coulomb repulsion of strength V on the properties of the ferromagnetic Kondo model is analyzed using computational techniques. The Hamiltonian studied here is defined on a chain using localized S51/2 spins, and one orbital per site. Special emphasis is given to the influence of the Coulomb repulsion on the regions of phase separation recently discovered in th...
