A functions localized neural network with branch gates
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, a functions localized network with branch gates (FLN-bg) is studied, which consists of a basic network and a branch gate network. The branch gate network is used to determine which intermediate nodes of the basic network should be connected to the output node with a gate coefficient ranging from 0 to 1. This determination will adjust the outputs of the intermediate nodes of the basic network depending on the values of the inputs of the network in order to realize a functions localized network. FLN-bg is applied to function approximation problems and a two-spiral problem. The simulation results show that FLN-bg exhibits better performance than conventional neural networks with comparable complexity.

New full adders using multi-layer perceptron network
How to reconfigure a logic gate for a variety of functions is an interesting topic. In this paper, a different method of designing logic gates are proposed. Initially, due to the training ability of the multilayer perceptron neural network, it was used to create a new type of logic and full adder gates. In this method, the perceptron network was trained and then tested. This network was 100% ac...

In this paper, recurrent neural network is used for path planning in the joint space of the robot with obstacle in the workspace of the robot. To design the neural network, first a performance index has been defined as sum of square of error tracking of final executor. Then, obstacle avoidance scheme is presented based on its space coordinate and its minimum distance between the obstacle and ea...
متن کاملComparison Study on Neural Networks in Damage Detection of Steel Truss Bridge
This paper presents the application of three main Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) in damage detection of steel bridges. This method has the ability to indicate damage in structural elements due to a localized change of stiffness called damage zone. The changes in structural response is used to identify the states of structural damage. To circumvent the difficulty arising from the non-linear n...
متن کاملAnalog versus discrete neural networks
We show that neural networks with three-times continuously differentiable activation functions are capable of computing a certain family of n-bit boolean functions with two gates, whereas networks composed of binary threshold functions require at least omega(log n) gates. Thus, for a large class of activation functions, analog neural networks can be more powerful than discrete neural networks, ...

Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller Neural Network is a computational model of cerebellum which acts as a lookup table. The advantages of CMAC are fast learning convergence, and capability of mapping nonlinear functions due to its local generalization of weight updating, single structure and easy processing. In the training phase, the disadvantage of some CMAC models is unstable phenomenon...
