Automated Timestamp Device for Computed Radiography Team Members

In order to accurately diagnose patient conditions, an exposure time must be assigned to any Xray image taken. Previously, X-rays were assigned a time based on their development, not exposure. In order to improve this process, a device was designed to accurately and automatically timestamp an X-ray radiograph upon exposure. The device will ultimately be affixed to the computed radiography (CR) cassette and consist of three distinct components: a circuit to detect and amplify the X-ray exposure, software to record the exposure time, and the necessary hardware to communicate between the two.
