چکیده

We report the first vibrationally resolved spectroscopic study of FeO. We observe the 0←0 and 1←0 bands of a S←X S transition at 28 648.7 and 29 311 cm. Under slightly modified source conditions the 1←1 transition is observed at 28 473 cm. In addition to establishing an upper limit D0 (Fe1–O!<342.7 kJ/mol, our results give the first experimental measurements of the vibrational frequencies in both the ground state, n09583864 cm , and the excited electronic state, n085662 62 cm. Partially resolved rotational structure underlying the vibrational peaks has been analyzed to measure the predissociation lifetime and estimate the change in molecular constants upon electronic excitation. © 1999 American Institute of Physics. @S0021-9606~99!00328-1#

Photodissociation spectroscopy and dynamics of the CH2CFO radical.

The photodissociation spectroscopy and dynamics resulting from excitation of the B (2)A(")<--X (2)A(") transition of CH(2)CFO have been examined using fast beam photofragment translational spectroscopy. The photofragment yield spectrum reveals vibrationally resolved structure between 29 870 and 38 800 cm(-1), extending approximately 6000 cm(-1) higher in energy than previously reported in a las...

Electronic and vibrational spectroscopy and vibrationally mediated photodissociation of V+(OCO).

Electronic spectra of gas-phase V+(OCO) are measured in the near-infrared from 6050 to 7420 cm(-1) and in the visible from 15,500 to 16,560 cm(-1), using photofragment spectroscopy. The near-IR band is complex, with a 107 cm(-1) progression in the metal-ligand stretch. The visible band shows clearly resolved vibrational progressions in the metal-ligand stretch and rock, and in the OCO bend, as ...

Overtone spectroscopy of H2O clusters in the V(OH) = 2 manifold: infrared-ultraviolet vibrationally mediated dissociation studies.

Spectroscopy and predissociation dynamics of (H2O)2 and Ar-H2O are investigated with vibrationally mediated dissociation (VMD) techniques, wherein upsilon(OH) = 2 overtones of the complexes are selectively prepared with direct infrared pumping, followed by 193 nm photolysis of the excited H2O molecules. As a function of relative laser timing, the photolysis breaks H2O into OH and H fragments ei...

Three - body photodissociation dynamics of I 2 ( CO 2 ) Aaron

The three-body dissociation of I 2 (CO2) following excitation of the I 2 chromophore to the repulsive A Pg,1/2 and BRg;1=2 electronic states at 1.72 and 3.21 eV has been investigated using fast beam photofragment translational spectroscopy. The translational energy distributions for three-body dissociation provide a direct measurement of the CO2 binding energy, yielding a value of 218 ± 10 meV....

Transition state dynamics of the OH ¿ OH \ O ¿ H 2 O reaction studied by dissociative photodetachment of H

Photoelectron-photofragment coincidence ~PPC! spectroscopy has been used to study the dissociative photodetachment of H2O2 2 and D2O2 . The observed partitioning of photoelectron and photofragment translational energies provides information on the dynamics in the transition state region of the reaction between two hydroxyl radicals: OH1OH→O(P)1H2O. The data reveal vibrationally resolved product...
