Data-Driven Sound Track Generation

چکیده
Background music is often used to generate a specific atmosphere or to draw our attention to specific events. For example in movies or computer games it is often the accompanying music that conveys the emotional state of a scene and plays an important role for immersing the viewer or player into the virtual environment. In view of home-made videos, slide shows, and other consumer-generated visual media streams, there is a need for computer-assisted tools that allow users to generate aesthetically appealing music tracks in an easy and intuitive way. In this contribution, we consider a data-driven scenario where the musical raw material is given in form of a database containing a variety of audio recordings. Then, for a given visual media stream, the task consists in identifying, manipulating, overlaying, concatenating, and blending suitable music clips to generate a music stream that satisfies certain constraints imposed by the visual data stream and by user specifications. It is our main goal to give an overview of various content-based music processing and retrieval techniques that become important in datadriven sound track generation. In particular, we sketch a general pipeline that highlights how the various techniques act together and come into play when generating musically plausible transitions between subsequent music clips. 1998 ACM Subject Classification H.5.5 Sound and Music Computing, J.5 Arts and Humanities– Music, H.5.1 Multimedia Information Systems

Remarks on Modern Track Geometry Maintenance
A short survey on modern track maintenance methods is given, concentrating on the developments in recent years. The ongoing refinement of the machinery should be shown as the influence of IT-solutions. On top the economic view to the track infrastructure is briefly demonstrated. Further developments in track hardware solutions must respect the obtained high level of track work mechanization. H...

Analysis of intrinsic irreversibility and heat transfer in a buoyancy-driven changeable viscosity liquid along an incline heated wall with convective cooling taking into consideration the heated isothermal and isoflux wall is investigated. By Newton’s law of cooling, we assumed the free surface exchange heat with environment and fluid viscosity is exponentially dependent on temperature. Appropr...

This paper introduces the PowerTools data presentation toolset and its application. PowerTools is the name given to a set of diverse data presentation systems, integrated under the Common Tool Control (CTC) program. At present, the system is made up of two visualisation tools (Maritxu and The Cave) and a soniication tool (SRT, Sonic Representation Tool). The system was originally developed to a...

The architecture of the ZEUS Micro Vertex Detector data acquisition system and the implementation of its second level trigger, the ZEUS Global Track Trigger are described. Data from the vertex detectors HELIX read-out chips, corresponding to 200k channels, are digitized by 3 crates of ADCs which perform noise and pedestal subtraction, and data suppression and compaction. PowerPC VME board compu...
متن کاملAutomatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach
Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...
