Evaluation of Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts in the Early Postoperative Period Using 64-Slice MDCT

چکیده
widely used for patients with multivessel coronary artery disease. The post-operative patency of the bypass graft is important to predict the clinical outcome (1-3). Postoperative myocardial infarction is a rare, but potentially severe complication after CABG. So, the early recognition of the failure of a bypass graft on the early postoperative imaging is necessary to evaluate the quality of the surgical anastomosis and the graft patency (4, 5). Conventional coronary angiography (CCA) is currently the standard diagnostic modality that’s used to assess the status of bypass grafts. However, it is an invasive J Korean Soc Radiol 2009;60:303-312

Multi-detector computed tomography in coronary artery bypass graft assessment: a meta-analysis.
Multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) has become an alternative to coronary angiography in diagnosis of graft occlusion and stenosis after coronary artery bypass. A literature search was performed for studies comparing angiography to 8-slice, 16-slice, and 64-slice MDCT in the assessment of coronary grafts. In assessing occlusion, 14 studies produced pooled sensitivity of 97.6%, specificity...

PURPOSE To investigate the diagnostic accuracy and limitations of 16-slice multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) in the detection of significant ( > 50%) stenosis of coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG) and native coronary arteries. MATERIALS AND METHODS One hundred two patients with 236 grafts were investigated by 16-slice MDCT. Native coronary arteries were also investigated. The image q...
متن کاملRole of 64-slice multi detector computed tomography for non-invasive visualisation of coronary artery bypass grafts for follow up in post CABG patients.
BACKGROUND Coronary artery bypass graft surgery is a commonly performed revascularization procedure in ischemic heart disease patients. Conventional coronary angiography is an invasive method for evaluation of grafts in such patients. Non-invasive evaluation of grafts in post CABG patient has been made possible with the advent of 64-Slice Multi Detector Computed Tomography (MDCT) The Objective ...

BACKGROUND Multidetector computed tomographic angiography (MDCT) has been shown to allow detection of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) occlusions and stenoses. However, the assessment of native coronary arteries in addition to CABG has thus far not been sufficiently validated. METHODS AND RESULTS Fifty patients with a total of 138 CABG (34 mammary grafts, 3 radial grafts, 101 venous grafts...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of 16-slice multislice, multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) angiography for the evaluation of grafts in patients with coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). METHODS Fifty-eight consecutive patients with CABG who underwent both MDCT and conventional invasive coronary angiography were included. The median time int...
