چکیده

Several recent studies have indicated that miR-30a plays critical roles in various biological processes and diseases. However, the mechanism of miR-30a participation in the regulation of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is ambiguous. Our previous study demonstrated that miR-30a may function as a novel therapeutic target for lung fibrosis by blocking mitochondrial fission, which is dependent on dynamin-related protein-1 (Drp-1). However, the regulatory mechanism between miR-30a and Drp-1 has yet to be investigated. In addition, whether miR-30a can act Preprints (www.preprints.org) | NOT PEER-REVIEWED | Posted: 16 January 2017 doi:10.20944/preprints201701.0074.v1

MiRNA-30a inhibits AECs-II apoptosis by blocking mitochondrial fission dependent on Drp-1

Apoptosis of type II alveolar epithelial cells (AECs-II) is a key determinant of initiation and progression of lung fibrosis. However, the mechanism of miR-30a participation in the regulation of AECs-II apoptosis is ambiguous. In this study, we investigated whether miR-30a could block AECs-II apoptosis by repressing mitochondrial fission dependent on dynamin-related protein-1 (Drp-1). The level...

MicroRNA-30a-5p inhibits the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells by targeting insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor

MicroRNAs (miRs) are a class of small non-coding RNAs of 18-25 nucleotides in length that serve as key regulators in the development and progression of human cancers. Recently, miR-30b-5p, as a member of the miR-30 family, has been reported to act as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer. However, the expression and function of miR-30a-5p in gastric cancer, as well as the corresponding underlyin...

MicroRNA‐30a ameliorates hepatic fibrosis by inhibiting Beclin1‐mediated autophagy

We explored the role of microRNA-30a (miR-30a) and the mechanism involved in hepatic fibrosis. MiR-30a overexpression was achieved by miR-30a mimics transfection in hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) (HSC-T6, LX-2), and miR-30a agomir (ago-miR-30a) treatment in mice. MiR-30a levels were measured using TaqMan miRNA assay system, and the localization of miR-30a was detected by fluorescence in situ hyb...

The role of microRNA-30a and downstream snail1 on the growth and metastasis of melanoma tumor

Objective(s): Growing evidences have indicated microRNAs as modulators of tumor development and aggression. On the other hand, a phenomenon known as epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) that indicates a transient phase from epithelial-like features to mesenchymal phenotype is a key player in tumor progression.  In this study, we aimed to assess the potential impacts...
