چکیده

Escherichia coli is a major pathogen of bovine intramammary infections. Here we report the first draft of the genome sequence of the E. coli O32:H37 P4 strain, which is widely used in experimental bovine mastitis studies.

-Hydroxybutyrate Abrogates Formation of Bovine Neutrophil Extracellular Traps and Bactericidal Activity against Mammary Pathogenic Escherichia coli

Escherichia coli is an important bacterial species isolated from bovine mastitis. The rate of neutrophil recruitment into the mammary gland and their bactericidal activity largely affect the severity and outcome of the disease. Ketosis is a common metabolic disease, and affected dairy cows are known to have increased risk for mastitis and other infectious conditions. The disease is associated w...

Complete Genome Sequences of Escherichia coli Strains 1303 and ECC-1470 Isolated from Bovine Mastitis

Escherichia coli is the leading causative agent of acute bovine mastitis. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of E. coli O70:H32 strain 1303, isolated from an acute case of bovine mastitis, and E. coli Ont:Hnt strain ECC-1470, isolated from a persistent infection.

Genome Sequences of Escherichia coli Strains That Cause Persistent and Transient Mastitis

We report here the genome sequences of two strains of Escherichia coli (ECA-B and ECC-M) that cause bovine mastitis. These strains are known to be associated with persistent and transient mastitis; strain ECA-B causes a transient infection, and ECC-M leads to a persistent infection.

Variation of inflammatory dynamics and mediators in primiparous cows after intramammary challenge with Escherichia coli

The objective of the current study was to investigate (i) the outcome of experimentally induced Escherichia coli mastitis in primiparous cows during early lactation in relation with production of eicosanoids and inflammatory indicators, and (ii) the validity of thermography to evaluate temperature changes on udder skin surface after experimentally induced E. coli mastitis. Nine primiparous Hols...
