ErgoVar: A Toolbox for Exposure Variation Analysis
نویسنده
چکیده
Lack of exposure variation has been suggested to be associated with development of work related musculoskeletal disorder in “repetitive works” [1]. As a remedy, ergonomists have suggested exploiting of redundancy of human motorcontrol toincrease the variation in pattern of biomechanical loading [2,3]. Further, a similar concept has attracted attention within the sport science field where the implication of the motor variability in sport activities has been introduced in skill achievement and susceptibility to injuries [4].

A Novel Toolbox for Generating Realistic Biological Cell Geometries for Electromagnetic Microdosimetry
Researchers in bioelectromagnetics often require realistic tissue, cellular and sub-cellular geometry models for their simulations. However, biological shapes are often extremely irregular, while conventional geometrical modeling tools on the market cannot meet the demand for fast and efficient construction of irregular geometries. We have designed a free, user-friendly tool in MATLAB that comb...
متن کاملModels and Methods for Spatial Data: Applications in Epidemiological, Environmental and Ecological Studies
This thesis develops new methodologies for applied problems using smoothing techniques for spatial or spatial temporal data. We investigate Bayesian ranking methods for identifying high risk areas in disease mapping, assessing these particularly with regard their performance in isolating emerging unusual and extreme risks in small areas. We build on information obtained through mapping multivar...
متن کاملCellular S-value of beta emitter radionuclide’s determined using Geant4 Monte Carlo toolbox, comparison to MIRD S-values
Introduction: Spatial dose distribution around the radionuclides sources is required for optimized treatment planning in radioimmunotherapy. At present, the main source of data for cellular dosimetry is the s-values provided by MIRD. However, the MIRD s-values have been calculated based on analytical formula in which no electrons straggling is taken to account. In this study, we used Geant4-DNA...
متن کاملDesign of an Inhalation Chamber to Expose Laboratory Animals with Suspended Particulate Matter by Numerical Simulation Method
Introduction: Usually, in the toxicological studies of airborne particulate pollutants, inhalation exposure chambers are used for providing and distributing the test atmosphere uniformly and stability in the respiratory zone of laboratory animals. The purpose of this study was to design, evaluate and optimize a whole-body exposure chamber, specifically for small laboratory animals exposed to pa...
