چکیده
We collect certain useful lemmas concerning the characteristic map, GLninvariant sets of matrices, and the relative codimension. We provide a characterization of rank varieties in terms of the characteristic map as well as some necessary and some sufficient conditions for linear subspaces to allow the dominant restriction of the characteristic map.

Separated finitely supported $Cb$-sets
The monoid $Cb$ of name substitutions and the notion of finitely supported $Cb$-sets introduced by Pitts as a generalization of nominal sets. A simple finitely supported $Cb$-set is a one point extension of a cyclic nominal set. The support map of a simple finitely supported $Cb$-set is an injective map. Also, for every two distinct elements of a simple finitely supported $Cb$-set, there exists...

According to the classical theorem, every algebraic variety endowed with a nontrivial rational action of a connected linear algebraic group is birationally isomorphic to a product of another algebraic variety and Ps with positive s. We show that the classical proof of this theorem actually works only in characteristic 0 and we give a characteristic free proof of it. To this end we prove and use...
متن کاملThe Rate of Rényi Entropy for Irreducible Markov Chains
In this paper, we obtain the Rényi entropy rate for irreducible-aperiodic Markov chains with countable state space, using the theory of countable nonnegative matrices. We also obtain the bound for the rate of Rényi entropy of an irreducible Markov chain. Finally, we show that the bound for the Rényi entropy rate is the Shannon entropy rate.

متن کاملON AN ASYMPTOTIC BEHAVIOR OF ELEMENTS OF ORDER p IN IRREDUCIBLE REPRESENTATIONS OF THE CLASSICAL ALGEBRAIC GROUPS WITH LARGE ENOUGH HIGHEST WEIGHTS
The behavior of the images of a fixed element of order p in irreducible representations of a classical algebraic group in characteristic p with highest weights large enough with respect to p and this element is investigated. More precisely, let G be a classical algebraic group of rank r over an algebraically closed field K of characteristic p > 2. Assume that an element x ∈ G of order p is conj...
