چکیده
We find, in the form of a continued fraction, the generating function for the number of (132)avoiding permutations that have a given number of (123) patterns, and show how to extend this to permutations that have exactly one (132) pattern. We find some properties of the continued fraction, which is similar to, though more general than, those that were studied by Ramanujan. the electronic journal of combinatorics 6 (1999), #Rxx 2 A (132) pattern (resp. a (123) pattern) in a permutation π of |π| letters is a triple 1 ≤ i < j < k ≤ n of indices for which π(i) < π(k) < π(j) (resp. π(i) < π(j) < π(k)). Let fr(n) denote the number of permutations π of n letters that have no (132) patterns and exactly r (123) patterns. Our main result is the following. Theorem 1 The generating function for the {fr(n)} is

Antibacterial effects of crude venom and their protein fractions of Hottentotta saulcyi scorpion
Introduction: Infectious diseases, mainly caused by bacterial agents, are one of the most common causes of death worldwide. A significant number of these agents have been resistant to one or more antibiotics; some of them are multi-drug resistant and others are extensively drug resistant. Various antimicrobial and anticancer compounds have been reported from the venom of various species of scor...
متن کاملNUCL EAR DNA CONTENT AND DNA PLOIDY ANALYSIS IN BREAST CANCER
To investigate the patterns of DNA ploidy and proliferating activity in breast cancer and relate them to other prognostic factors, paraffin blocks of 53 cases of breast carcinoma were studied. Cancer cells obtained by mechanical tissue disaggregation were examined for DNA content, ploidy and S-phase fraction. DNA assay was done using a CAS interactive image analyzing system. All of the cas...
متن کاملVariations to somatic protein profiles of Dicrocoelium dendriticum in Iranian ruminants
Background: Dicrocoelium dendriticum, a liver trematode of herbivores, and man is very prevalent among ruminants of Iran, resulting in causing significant economic losses. Recently its phenotype polymorphism has been found in Iran, a phenomenon that may affect the protein profile of the parasite. Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the somatic protein profiles of D.dendriticum in...
متن کاملDifferential Localization of G Protein βγ Subunits
G protein βγ subunits play essential roles in regulating cellular signaling cascades, yet little is known about their distribution in tissues or their subcellular localization. While previous studies have suggested specific isoforms may exhibit a wide range of distributions throughout the central nervous system, a thorough investigation of the expression patterns of both Gβ and Gγ isoforms with...
متن کاملMale accessory gland secretory proteins in nasuta subgroup of Drosophila: nature and SDS-PAGE patterns.
Male accessory gland secretory proteins in seven members of Drosophila nasuta subgroup were analyzed by SDS-PAGE in combination with different staining techniques such as CBB-R250, Silver, PAS, PAS-silver and zinc-imidazole reverse staining. Based on coomassie blue patterns the protein fractions could be classified in to 3 major groups namely group I, group II as well as group III; with high mo...
متن کاملComparative Hypnotic Effect of Rosa damascena Fractions and Diazepam in Mice
Rosa damascena has been found to act on central nervous system including the brain. Several studies confirm that R. damascena inhibits the activity of the hypothalamus and pituitary systems in rat and can suppress the central nervous system. In traditional medicine hypnotic effect of Rose is also suggested. In this study, the hypnotic effect of the ethanol crude extract of R. damascena and its ...
