Simulation of Power Electrical Circuits of Automotive

چکیده
In this paper, a procedure for identifying the transfer functions of Park’s dq-axis model of a synchronous generator has been developed for analyzing automotive charging systems. This application note focuses on one particular aspect of charging system design: alternator/regulator performance. This voltage regulated power system must operate satisfactorily under extreme transient conditions. Two of these transients, a load-dump condition (heavy electrical load switching with a disconnected battery), and an engine rapid crankshaft speed-up, are examined. It will be shown that the parameters of this model can be easily identified from standstill timedomain data. The validity of the theoretical model has been verified by comparing time-domain simulations with measurements taken from the direct-drive synchronous generator.

The Markov random field (MRF) theory has been accepted as a highly effective framework for designing noise-tolerant nanometer digital VLSI circuits. In MRF-based design, proper feedback lines are used to control noise and keep the circuits in their valid states. However, this methodology has encountered two major problems that have limited the application of highly noise immune MRF-based circui...

متن کاملChallenges for Qualitative Electrical Reasoning in Automotive Circuit Simulation
Qualitative reasoning about electrical systems has reached a level of achievement which allows it to be used for applications on realistic automotive circuits . The type of circuits for which it is most effective can be characterised as circuits with a single steady state for each combination of inputs . Many automotive circuits with more complex overall behaviour can be approximated using this...
