چکیده

In this paper, we present some results of shell-model calculations employing effective interactions derived from the CD-Bonn free nucleon-nucleon potential. These concern 18O, 134Te, and 210Po, and are part of a comprehensive study of nuclei around doubly closed shells. Comparison of the calculated results with experimental data illustrates the degree of accuracy of modern realistic shell-model calculations.

Shell-model calculations and realistic effective interactions

A review is presented of the development and current status of nuclear shell-model calculations in which the two-body effective interaction between the valence nucleons is derived from the free nucleon-nucleon potential. The significant progress made in this field within the last decade is emphasized, in particular as regards the so-called Vlow−k approach to the renormalization of the bare nucl...

0 Present Status of Realistic Shell - Model Calculations ∗

The present paper is comprised of two parts. First, we give a brief survey of the theoretical framework for microscopic nuclear structure calculations starting from a free nucleon-nucleon potential. Then, we present some selected results of a comprehensive study of nuclei near doubly closed shells. In all these shell-model calculations we have made use of realistic effective interactions derive...

Recent developments in no-core shell-model calculations

We present an overview of recent results and developments of the no-core shell model (NCSM), an ab initio approach to the nuclear many-body problem for light nuclei. In this approach, we start from realistic two-nucleon or twoplus threenucleon interactions. Many-body calculations are performed using a finite harmonicoscillator (HO) basis. To facilitate convergence for realistic inter-nucleon in...

Gamow shell model and realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions

We present a new and efficient method to obtain a Gamow shell-model basis and matrix elements generated by realistic nucleon-nucleon interactions. We derive a self-consistent Hartree-Fock potential from the renormalized NLO interaction model. The corresponding Gamow one-body eigenstates are generated in a plane wave basis in order to build a Gamow shell-model set of basis states for the closed ...

v 1 2 7 O ct 1 99 9 Application of the extended P + QQ force model to N ≈ Z fp shell nuclei

To study collective motion, the extended pairing plus QQ force model proposed recently is applied to A=46, 48 and 50 nuclei in the f p shell region. Exact shell model calculations in the truncated model space (f 7/2 , p 3/2 , p 1/2) prove the usefulness of the interaction. The simple model with the pairing plus quadrupole pairing plus QQ force and J-independent isoscalar proton-neutron force re...
