چکیده

In this paper, we propose an approach to the multichannel blind deconvolution problem, based on the mutual information criterion and more generally on an appropriate system of estimating equations. Formulas for the quasiNewton algorithm and the asymptotic covariance matrix of the estimator are provided. More interesting results have been obtained in the pure deconvolution case. By a clever parameterization of the deconvolution filter, the estimated parameters are asymptotically independent and explicit and simple formula for their variance are obtained. The quasi-Newton algorithm also becomes particularly simple. Simulation results showing the good performance of the methods are provided. r 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Geometrical Structures of Fir Manifold and Their Application to Multichannel Blind Deconvolution

In this paper we study geometrical structures on the manifold of FIR lters and their application to multichannel blind deconvolution First we introduce the Lie group and Riemannian metric to the manifold of FIR lters Then we derive the natu ral gradient on the manifold using the isometry of the Riemannian metric Using the natural gradient we present a novel learning algorithm for blind deconvol...

An FFT-based algorithm for multichannel blind deconvolution

A new update equation for the general multichannel blind deconvolution (MCBD) of a convolved mixture of source signals is derived. It is based on the update equation for blind source separation (BSS), which has been shown to be an alternative interpretation [1] of the natural gradient applied to the minimization of some mutual information criterion [2]. Computational complexity is held at a min...

Simultaneous super-resolution and blind deconvolution

In many real applications, blur in input low-resolution images is a nuisance, which prevents traditional super-resolution methods from working correctly. This paper presents a unifying approach to the blind deconvolution and superresolution problem of multiple degraded low-resolution frames of the original scene. We introduce a method which assumes no prior information about the shape of degrad...

Super-exponential methods for multichannel blind deconvolution

Multichannel blind deconvolution has received increasing attention during the last decade. Recently, Martone [3, 4] extended the super-exponential method proposed by Shalvi and Weinstein [1, 2] for single-channel blind deconvolution to multichannel blind deconvolution. However, the Martone extension suffers from two type of serious drawbacks. The objective of this paper is to obviate these draw...

Flexible multichannel blind deconvolution, an investigation

In this paper, we consider the issue of devising a flexible nonlinear function for multichannel blind deconvolution. In particular, we consider the underlying assumption of the source probability density functions. We consider two cases, when the source probability density functions are assumed to be uni-modal, and multimodal respectively. In the unimodal case, there are two approaches: Pearson...
