چکیده

One possibility to measure the extra-phosphoric effect of exogenous phytase is to use a higher concentration of this enzyme in the diets not limiting in phosphorus, to be sure that any observed effect is not caused by an increase in phosphorus digestibility. However, it is important to know how the requirements of the bird relate to the phosphorus content of the basal diet, because when the basal diet is very deficient in phosphorus all of the responses observed were likely attributable to phosphorus release. The literature tends to be consistent in that and describes the requirement for optimum growth rate in birds until 21 days of age between 0.45 and 0.5 % avP. Recent work suggests that there is a case for improved performance in response to higher inclusion rates of phytases when phosphorus is not limiting, suggesting this is linked more to extra-phosphoric effects (COWIESON et al., 2011). The present study was conducted to evaluate response to higher phytase doses when series of diets varying in inorganic phosphorus content was used. 6Phytase supplementation was evaluated in broiler chickens fed different phosphorus content diets based on maize and soybean meal, focusing on performance, phosphorus utilization and bone mineralization.

Effect of Phytase Superdoses and Citric Acid on Growth Performance, Plasma Phosphorus and Tibia Ash in Broilers Fed Canola Meal-Based Diets Severely Limited in Available Phosphorus

This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of phytase superdoses alone or in combination with citric acid (CA) in canola meal-based diets severely limited in available phosphorus (Pa) on growth performance, plasma phosphorus (P), and tibia ash (TA) in broilers from 22 to 42 d of age. Two hundreds and eighty 21-d-old male broilers were used in 28 pens of 10 birds per each. The exper...

The Effects of Microbial Phytase on Serum Calcium and Phosphorus Levels and Alkaline Phosphatase Activities in Broilers Fed Diets Containing Different Levels of Phosphorus

Background: Addition of the phytase enzyme to the diet of monogastric animals is an effective and practical method for both utilization of phytate-P and P disposal. Besides hydrolytic effects on phytate, phytase may also improve the availability of minerals. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) plays an important role in bone mineralization. Since dietary P levels decrease, serum ALP level has been shown...

Effects of Phytase Supplementation on the Performance of Broiler Chickens Fed Maize and Wheat Based Diets with Different Levels of Non-phytate Phosphorus

An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of phytase supplementation on the growth performance, nutrients utilization and bone mineralization in broiler chickens. Day-old broiler chicks (n=480) were equally devided into eight treatment groups and fed maize or wheat based isocaloric, isonitrogenous and isocalcium diets having two non phytate phosphorus (NPP) concentrations (0.50% and 0...

Influence of dietary calcium level, calcium source, and phytase on bird performance and mineral digestibility during a natural necrotic enteritis episode.

The objective of this study was to determine the influence of Ca source [highly soluble calcified seaweed (HSC) or limestone], phytase supplementation, and dietary levels of Ca on bird performance and mineral digestibility (Ca and P) during a necrotic enteritis (NE) episode. Cobb 500 male broilers were weighed and randomized into 8 treatment groups (9 pens/treatment; 30 birds/pen) at day of hat...
