چکیده
Due to an oversight by the authors there are a few corrections that are necessary for the publication [1]: Section 2, Study Area. In the part concerning wave climate in the study area (second to last paragraph on Page 3), we need to correct the data period and the reference. The latter should be Thornborough’s thesis [2], which is reference 14 in the original paper [1]. The correct version reads: “An analysis of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) WAVEWATCH III (WW3) wave data, identified that between 2000 and 2009 the average wave climate of One Tree Reef was characterised by an average significant wave height (Hs) of 1.54 m, peak wave period (Tp) of 7.43 s, and a mean wave direction (Өm) of 199.1° (lagoon-ward), corresponding to a mean wave power (P) of 20.93 N m −1 [14].”

Remote Sensing
An investigation into the evolution of coral rubble deposits on a coral reef platform is assessed using high-resolution remote sensing data and geospatial analysis. Digital change detection analysis techniques are applied to One Tree Reef in the southern Great Barrier Reef by analysing aerial photographs and satellite images captured between 1964 and 2009. Two main types of rubble deposits were...
متن کاملWater Column Correction for Coral Reef Studies by Remote Sensing
Human activity and natural climate trends constitute a major threat to coral reefs worldwide. Models predict a significant reduction in reef spatial extension together with a decline in biodiversity in the relatively near future. In this context, monitoring programs to detect changes in reef ecosystems are essential. In recent years, coral reef mapping using remote sensing data has benefited fr...
متن کاملDiscrimination of Quaternary iron placer deposits by integrating remote sensing band ratio, magnetometry and geology data by weighted overlay index method compared to SAM and FCC methods in 1:100000 sheet of Hamedan
Abstract Quaternary placer deposits are becoming increasingly important. Remote sensing is a very powerful tool in discriminating altered areas related to intrusion deposits, which has significantly reduced the cost and time of exploration. In this study, to identify iron-bearing alluvial zones within the 1:100000 sheet of Hamedan, satellite image processing techniques such as band ratio (BR),...
متن کاملLow Cost UAV-based Remote Sensing for Autonomous Wildlife Monitoring
In recent years, developments in unmanned aerial vehicles, lightweight on-board computers, and low-cost thermal imaging sensors offer a new opportunity for wildlife monitoring. In contrast with traditional methods now surveying endangered species to obtain population and location has become more cost-effective and least time-consuming. In this paper, a low-cost UAV-based remote sensing platform...
متن کاملDetection limits of coral reef bleaching by satellite remote sensing: Simulation and data analysis
Monitoring o f coral reef bleaching has hitherto been based on regional-scale, in situ data. Larger-scale trends, however, must be determined using satellite-based observations. Using both a radiative transfer simulation and an analysis o f multitemporal Landsat TM images, the ability o f satellite remote sensing to detect and monitor coral reef bleaching is examined. The radiative transfer sim...
