چکیده
I SLAGPUE3396 August 1984 (A/I) An array of 12 calibrated RF electric Beld probea on the waveguide walls are used to ~mplc the complex Keld profile at the Ncond and third bumonic~~ where the fundamental power &I in the 40 MW range at 2856 MHr. The meuured amplitude and phase &-nala from these probea are Fourier l nalyred to determine with good accuracy the power in each of the Mary possible propagating modes.

150-MW S-Band Klystron Program at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center
Two S-Band klystrons operating at 150 MW have been designed, fabricated and tested at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) during the past two years for use in an experimental accelerator at Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) in Hamburg Germany. Both klystrons operate at the design power, 60 Hz repetition rate, 3 ps pulsewidth, with an efficiency > 40%, and agreement between the e...

متن کاملX-band Klystron Development at Slac
The development of X-band klystrons at SLAC originated with the idea of building an X-band Linear Collider in the late 1980’s. Since then much effort has been expended in developing a reliable X-band Power source capable of delivering >50 MW RF power in pulse widths >1.5 μs. I will report on some of the technical issues and design strategies which have led to the current SLAC klystron designs.

X-band klystrons capable of 75 MW and utilizing either solenoidal or Periodic Permanent Magnet (PPM) focusing are undergoing design, fabrication and testing at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). The klystron development is part of an effort to realize components necessary for the construction of the Next Linear Collider (NLC). SLAC has developed a solenoidal-focused X-band klystron ...
