OSMF: A Framework for OSS Process Measurement
نویسندگان
چکیده
An Open Source Software (OSS) project can be considered as a new type of business entity involving various roles and stakeholders, e.g., project managers, developers, and users, who apply individual methods. The project managers have the responsibility to manage the OSS development in a way that the OSS product can be delivered to the customers in time and with good quality. This responsibility is challenging, because the heterogeneity of the data collected and analyzed from different stakeholders leads to the complexity of efforts of the project managers to measure and manage OSS projects. In this paper, we propose a measurement framework (OSMF) to enable the project managers to collect and analyze process data from OSS projects efficiently. Initial results show that OSMF can help project managers to manage OSS business processes more efficient, hence improve the decision on OSS project quality.

Managing Corrective Actions to Closure in Open Source Software Test Process
In assessing test process maturity, one of the goals is to manage disciplinary issues. Managing corrective actions to closure is known to aid software quality assurance, in general, and testing process activities, in particular. In this paper, a framework for software testing assessment, namely OSS-TPA, that aims to evaluate corrective actions in OSS test process, is proposed. The OSS-TPA frame...
متن کاملDynamical Simulation Models for the Development Process of Open Source Software Projects
There have been a few studies attempting to define the Open-Source software (OSS) development process in general terms and there have also been a few case studies of OSS projects. The latter studies presented qualitative and quantitative data for the OSS development process, managerial issues and programmer attitudes. The authors in many cases offer descriptive explanations based on plausible a...
متن کاملRisk Framework for Open Source Applications Using Agent Oriented Modelling
This paper aims to propose a novel risk framework utilizing agent oriented modelling in order to provide guidelines for the adoption of Open Source Software (OSS) solutions to an organization. Multiple studies have focused on user requirements and technical aspects when implementing OSS solutions. However, there is a lack of literature focusing on the social aspects of ‘why’ and ’how’ risks of ...
متن کاملEstimation of hemoglobin, serum iron, total iron-binding capacity and serum ferritin levels in oral submucous fibrosis: A clinicopathological study
INTRODUCTION Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is also considered as an Asian version of sideropenic dysphagia, wherein chronic iron deficiency leads to mucosal susceptibility to irritants, such as chillies and areca nut products. Hemoglobin (Hb) levels, in particular, serum iron levels, are considered as biochemical indicators for nutritional assessment. Serum iron content can thus be a predictor...

Background While evidence-based practice is a familiar concept to allied health clinicians, knowledge translation (KT) is less well known and understood. The need for a framework that enables allied health clinicians to access and engage with KT was identified. The aim of this paper is to describe the development of the Translating Allied Health Knowledge (TAHK) Framework. M...
