چکیده

New microbial bioprospecting has become an important way to find new polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) producers and degraders. Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), the best known member of the PHAs, has received much attention because it can be degraded completely in different environments without forming any toxic products. In this contribution an actinomycete, designated strain SSM 5670, showed the better response for PHB degradation by the clear-zone method. Nevertheless, it produces PHB in low amounts (5.6% dry cell weight). According to the phylogenetic analysis the strain most similar to the PHB-degrading isolate SSM 5670 was Streptomyces omiyaensis NBRC13449. The selected isolate was characterized by its cultural, morphological and physiobiochemical features and deposited in an Argentine culture collection under the name Streptomyces omiyaensis SSM 5670.

Effects of Poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) and PHB degrading bacteria (Acidovorax sp.) on the growth performance, body composition and bacterial metabolic activity in Siberian Sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) fingerlings

Five hundred and ninety two Siberian sturgeon fingerlings (average weight, 11.1±0.9 g) were randomly distributed in 16 tanks (150 L) at a density of 35 fish per tank and fed different treatments (Control, degrading bacteria, 2% PHB, degrading bacteria + 2%PHB) for 60 days. At the end of the experiment, no significant difference was observed in case of final weight in fingerlings but fish fed PH...

The effects of the combination of bioplastic and its degrading bacteria (Genus Acidovorax) on the metabolic activity of anaerobic bacteria in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) fingerlings hindgut by using CLPP

Community Level Physiological Profiles (CLPP) is novel method to evaluate microbial activity and diversity in ecosystems. According to the previous findings, poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) as a bio-control product, increases bacterial diversity in some aquatic animals. In this study, the effects of four experimental diets (control, combination of two PHB degrading bacteria, 2% PHB, bacteria+ 2% P...

Phb Production by Bacillus Species Using the Cheap Substrate Groundnut Oil Cake

The present study encomparies of the isolation and production of PHB (Poly-β-hydroxybutyrate) producing Bacillus sp., from soil samples. The accumulation of PHB as granules in the organism was analyzed by Sudan black staining method. The PHB production was determined from the selected strains (B6, B7, B8, B10 and B11) by crotonic acid extraction method using U-V spectrophotometer at 235nm. The ...
