چکیده

The solutions of a renormalized BCS equation are studied in three space dimensions in s, p and d waves for finite-range separable potentials in the weak to medium coupling region. In the weak-coupling limit, the present BCS model yields a small coherence length ξ and a large critical temperature, Tc, appropriate for some high-Tc materials. The BCS gap, Tc, ξ and specific heat Cs(Tc) as a function of zero-temperature condensation energy are found to exhibit potential-independent universal scalings. The entropy, specific heat, spin susceptibility and penetration depth as a function of temperature exhibit universal scaling below Tc in p and d waves. PACS Numbers: 74.20.Fg, 74.72.-h

Universal scaling in BCS superconductivity in two dimensions in non-s waves

The solutions of a renormalized BCS model are studied in two space dimensions in s, p and d waves for finite-range separable potentials. The gap parameter, the critical temperature Tc, the coherence length ξ and the jump in specific heat at Tc as a function of zero-temperature condensation energy exhibit universal scalings. In the weak-coupling limit, the present model yields a small ξ and larg...

Scaling in the BCS to Bose crossover problem in different partial waves

The BCS superconductivity to Bose condensation crossover problem is studied in two dimensions in S , P , and D waves, for a simple anisotropic pairing, with a finite-range separable potential at zero temperature. The gap parameter and the chemical potential as a function of Cooper-pair binding Bc exhibit universal scaling. In the BCS limit the results for coherence length j and the critical tem...

Bose-Einstein to BCS Crossover Picture for High-Tc Cuprates

Combining (1) the universal correlations between Tc and ns/m ∗ (superconducting carrier density / effective mass) and (2) the pseudo-gap behavior in the underdoped region, we obtain a picture to describe superconductivity in cuprate systems in evolution from Bose-Einstein to BCS condensation. Overdoped and Zn-substituted cuprate systems show signatures of reduced superfluid density in a microsc...

A model of marginal Fermi liquid superconductor at two dimensions

In this paper we study a model of s-wave marginal Fermi liquid superconductor at two dimensions. Besides the usual Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer(BCS) point attractive interaction, the fermions in our system also interact via a long range repulsive interaction v(q) = gD/q 2. We find that although superconductivity is not destroyed by the long-ranged repulsion interaction (demonstrated by the existen...

Title: Universal scaling of the critical temperature for thin films near the superconducting- to-insulating transition Authors:

Thin superconducting films form a unique platform for geometrically-confined, strongly-interacting electrons. They allow an inherent competition between disorder and superconductivity, which in turn enables the intriguing superconducting-to-insulator transition and believed to facilitate the comprehension of high-Tc superconductivity. Furthermore, understanding thin film superconductivity is te...
