A discussion on impact models of the Shoemaker-Levy 9 fragments with Jupiter from some observational results

چکیده
In spite of the optimistic point of view shown by Peter J. T. Leonard in his work entitled “Impact consensus emerges” (Leonard, 1995). the situation still presents diverse scientific conflicts. The purpose of this work is to analyze results of different physical parameters obtained from entry and fireball models considering some observables of the event. These observables include the detection of a large amount of sulfur. the physical properties of the aerosol particles

Aerosol Properties of Debris from Fragments E/F of Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9
The physical properties of the aerosol debris of the E/F complex of Comet P/Shoemaker–Levy on Jupiter are analyzed and compared with the results obtained for the H impact (Moreno, F., O. Muñoz, A. Molina, J. J. López-Moreno, J. L. Ortiz, J. Rodriguez, A. López-Jimenez, and F. Girela 1995. Geophys. Res. Lett. 22, 1609–1612). The observations were made at the 4.2-m William Herschel Telescope at L...

Infrared emission lines of stratospheric ammonia (NH3) were observed following the collisions of the fragments of Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9 with Jupiter in July of 1994 at the impact sites of fragments G and K. Infrared heterodyne spectra near 10.7 μm were obtained by A. Betz et al. (in Abstracts for Special Sessions on Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9, The 26th Meeting of the Division for Planetary Science...
