Measurement Of Radon Exhalation Rate And Radiation Doses From Some Building Construction Materials

For the measurements 19 samples of building materias used in construction activities in this region of India were collected from various sites. In the present investigations radon exhalation rates from some building materials like fly ash, cement, slag, Bottom ash, Sand, Bazari, Badarpur and flooring tiles have been estimated using sealed can technique. It can be observed that Radon activity, Radon exhalation rate and Effective dose equivalent are minimum for the tiles and maximum for slag samples.
