Fast High-Voltage Grid Switch Unit for Computed Tomography X-Ray Tubes
نویسنده
چکیده
Computed tomography scanners use an X-ray tube and detector system rotating around the patient to create 3-D images. The X-rays are generated when accelerated electrons hit an anode. These X-rays will travel through the patient’s body being more or less absorbed by different tissues. A detector converts the received X-ray radiation into photons and then the image can be reconstructed. In the computed tomography field there is a consistent drive to reduce the patient radiation dose while maintaining image quality.

Assessment of X-Ray Crosstalk in a Computed Tomography Scanner with Small Detector Elements Using Monte Carlo Method
Introduction: Crosstalk is a leakage of X-ray or light produced in a matrix of X-ray detectors or array of photodiodes in one element to other elements affecting on image contrast and spatial resolution. In this study, we assessed X-ray crosstalk in a computed tomography (CT) scanner with small detector elements to estimate the effect of various parameters such as X-ray tube voltage, detector e...

Introduction: The aim of the current study was to investigate the effects of X-ray radiation on some hematological parameters, morphology of red blood cells (RBC) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) analysis of human blood using computed tomography (CT) scanner. Material and Methods: For the purpose of the study, 5 ml of wholeblood was drawn from vein puncture of 28 healthy people and div...
متن کاملPatient doses from X-ray computed tomography examinations by a single-array detector unit: Axial versus spiral mode
Background: X-ray computed tomography (CT) examinations deliver a significant amount of radiation doses to patients comparing to conventional radiography examinations. The objective of the current study was to analyze and investigate the average patient received dose from axial and spiral CT exams in a medical imaging center. Material and Methods: In this study, the patient imaging tec...
متن کاملUltra Fast Electron Beam X-ray Computed Tomography for Two-phase Flow Measurement
Electron beam X-ray CT is a new technique for a fast measurement of multiphase flows with frame rates of 1000 images per second and more. It gives, in principle, quantitatively accurate images of the flow at high spatial resolution and it is non-intrusive since moderately radiation absorbing vessel walls can be penetrated by X-rays. However, on the road to a technical realisation of such a tech...
متن کاملReversal Trend of Hounsfield Unit Values of Substances with High and Low Effective Atomic Numbers
Introduction: In dual-energy computed tomography (DECT), the Hounsfield values of a substance measured at two different energies are the basic data for finding the chemical properties of a substance. The trends of Hounsfield unit (HU) alterations following the changes in energy are different between the materials with high and low Zeff. The present study aim...
