چکیده

This paper introduces a novel ansatz-based technique for solution of the Hubbard model over two length scales. Short range correlations are treated exactly using a dynamical cluster approximation QMC simulation, while longer-length-scale physics requiring larger cluster sizes is incorporated through the introduction of the fluctuation exchange (FLEX) approximation. The properties of the resulting hybrid scheme are examined, and the description of local moment formation is compared to exact results in 1D. The effects of electron-electron coupling and electron doping on the shape of the Fermi-surface are demonstrated in 2D. Causality is examined in both 1D and 2D. We find that the scheme is successful if QMC clusters of NC ≥ 4 are used (with sufficiently high temperatures in 1D), however very small QMC clusters of NC = 1 lead to acausal results. Dynamical correlations in multiorbital Hubbard models: fluctuation exchange approximations.

We study the two-band degenerate Hubbard model using the fluctuation exchange approximation (FLEX) and compare the results with quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) calculations. Both the self-consistent and the non-self-consistent versions of the FLEX scheme are investigated. We find that, unlike in the one-band case, in the multiband case, good agreement with the quantum Monte Carlo results is obtained ...

Mott-hubbard metal-insulator transition in paramagnetic V2O3: an LDA+DMFT(QMC) study.

The electronic properties of paramagnetic V2O3 are investigated by the computational scheme LDA+DMFT(QMC). This approach merges the local density approximation (LDA) with dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) and uses quantum Monte Carlo simulations (QMC) to solve the effective Anderson impurity model of DMFT. Starting with the crystal structure of metallic V2O3 and insulating (V0.962Cr0.038)2O3 w...

Coulomb correlations in the honeycomb lattice: Role of translation symmetry

The effect of Coulomb correlations in the half-filled Hubbard model of the honeycomb lattice is studied within the dynamical cluster approximation (DCA) combined with exact diagonalization (ED) and continuous-time quantum Monte Carlo (QMC), for unit cells consisting of six-site rings. The important difference between this approach and the previously employed cluster dynamical mean-field theory ...

Dynamical cluster approximation employing the fluctuation exchange approximation as a cluster solver

We employ the dynamical cluster approximation ~DCA! in conjunction with the fluctuation exchange approximation ~FLEX! to study the Hubbard model. The DCA is a technique to systematically restore the momentum conservation at the internal vertices of Feynman diagrams relinquished in the dynamical mean field approximation. The FLEX is a perturbative diagrammatic approach in which classes of Feynma...
