Homogenization of Discrete High-Contrast Energies

چکیده
Variational theories of double-porosity models can be derived by homogenization of high-contrast periodic media (see [12]). Typically, we have one or more strong phases (i.e., uniformly elliptic energies on periodic connected domains) and a weak phase with a small ellipticity constant, coupled with some lower-order term. In the simplest case of quadratic energies, this amounts to considering energies of the form

Compare and contrast between duals of fusion and discrete frames
Fusion frames are valuable generalizations of discrete frames. Most concepts of fusion frames are shared by discrete frames. However, the dual setting is so complicated. In particular, unlike discrete frames, two fusion frames are not dual of each other in general. In this paper, we investigate the structure of the duals of fusion frames and discuss the relation between the duals of fusion fram...
متن کاملHomogenization of Variational Problems under Manifold Constraints
Abstract. Homogenization of integral functionals is studied under the constraint that admissible maps have to take their values into a given smooth manifold. The notion of tangential homogenization is defined by analogy with the tangential quasiconvexity introduced by Dacorogna, Fonseca, Malý & Trivisa [18]. For energies with superlinear or linear growth, a Γ-convergence result is established i...
متن کاملEffects of Ultrasonic and High-Pressure Homogenization Pretreatment on the Enzymatic Hydrolysis and Antioxidant Activity of Yeast Protein Hydrolysate
Protein hydrolysate is highly regarded as a source of naturally occurring antioxidant peptides. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Ultrasonic (Frequency, 20 KHz; Amplitude, 50%; Time, 30 min) and high-pressure homogenization (Power, 1500 bar; Rated flow, 10 dm/h) pretreatmenton the enzymatic hydrolysis and antioxidant properties of yeast protein hydrolysate obtained from...
متن کاملHomogenization of Integral Energies under Periodically Oscillating Differential Constraints
A homogenization result for a family of integral energies uε 7→ ˆ Ω f(uε(x)) dx, ε → 0, is presented, where the fields uε are subjected to periodic first order oscillating differential constraints in divergence form. The work is based on the theory of A -quasiconvexity with variable coefficients and on twoscale convergence techniques.
متن کاملA FEM Multiscale Homogenization Procedure using Nanoindentation for High Performance Concrete
This paper aims to develop a numerical multiscale homogenization method for prediction of elasto-viscoplastic properties of a high performance concrete (HPC). The homogenization procedure is separated into two-levels according to the microstructure of the HPC: the mortar or matrix level and the concrete level. The elasto-viscoplastic behavior of individual microstructural phases of the matrix a...
