Weigh Scale Applications for the MCP3551

چکیده
In the case of Figure 1, the bridge is said to be fully active. In some cases, only half of the bridge may be active (half active). For some sensors, only a single element of the bridge may change in response to the stimulus. This application note will focus specifically on load cells, a type of strain gauge that is typically used for measuring weight. Even more specifically, the focus will be on fully active, temperature compensated load cells whose change in differential output voltage with a rated load is 2 mV to 4 mV per volt of excitation (the excitation voltage being the difference between the +Input and the –Input terminals of the load cell).

Evaluation of Weigh Station Design and Operational Strategies Using Simulation
In the past twenty years, states have utilized Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) technology to reduce delay and increase enforcement of overweight vehicles. The authors simulated the operation of a weigh station by VISSIM, a microscopic, time step, and behavior based traffic simulation software. This study evaluated weigh station design and operational strategies using simulation under different design str...

Successful isolation, derivation and culturing of human pluripotent stem cells, including human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and human induced pluripotent stem (hiPSCs) cells in laboratory scale has opened new horizones for cell therapy applications such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. However, most of the cell therapy protocols using these unique cells require large number of ...
متن کاملGenome-Scale Metabolic Network Models of Bacillus Species Suggest that Model Improvement is Necessary for Biotechnological Applications
Background: A genome-scale metabolic network model (GEM) is a mathematical representation of an organism’s metabolism. Today, GEMs are popular tools for computationally simulating the biotechnological processes and for predicting biochemical properties of (engineered) strains. Objectives: In the present study, we have evaluated the predictive power of two ...

In many signal processing applications, an appropriate measure to compare two signals plays a fundamental role in both implementing the algorithm and evaluating its performance. Several techniques have been introduced in literature as similarity measures. However, the existing measures are often either impractical for some applications or they have unsatisfactory results in some other applicati...
