Bioactive Constituents from Fresh Fruits of Randia Siamensis

چکیده
Bioactive-directed fractionation of n-butanol extract from fresh fruits of Randia siamensis led to isolate of 4 new pseudoginsenoside compounds: pseudoginsenosides-RT2, -RT3, RT4 and -RT5, together with 7 known compounds: tyramine, pseudoginsenosides-RT1 methyl ester, pseudoginsenosides-RT1, pseudoginsenoside-RP1, kaempferol-3-O-β-D-xylose(1-2)-βgalactose, kaempferol-3-O-β-D-galactose, and 5-O-[Z] caffeoylquinic acid. Structures of the compounds were analyzed by NMR, MS and GC. Tyramine is responsible for the hypertensive activity, whereas pseudoginsenosides-RT1 and pseudoginsenoside-RP1 are responsible for the hypotensive activity.
