LeviTABLE: Electromagnetic Topographical Display
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes the design of LeviTABLE, an electromagnetic controlled topographical display device. The electromagnets control the movement and displacement of an array of vertical rods. The height of these rods represents individual points of elevation in a landscape. We describe the iterative design and implementation of LeviTABLE, discuss design issues and suggest further research directions and applications.

Introduction & Objective: The use of computers and monitors (displays) has been developed due to their increasing capabilities. The presence of electromagnetic fields, infrared and ul-traviolet radiations has been proven around the display, which all of them have adverse ef-fects on human health. Therefore, this study was conducted to survey and compare the mentioned variables around the disp...
متن کاملImprovement of Image Classification with the Integration of Topographical Data
Remotely sensed data are essentially used for land cover and vegetation classification. However, classes of interest are often imperfectly separable in the feature space provided by the spectral data. One of the most common attempts to improve image classification is the integration of ancillary data into classification. In this study, an approach for integrating topographic data into land cove...

2014 The general explicit discretized solution for the Beckmann mathematical 2-D model, for the scattering of electromagnetic waves, from a rough boundary (a cutaneous surface was selected for application) was determined numerically and found in accordance with the reality of its topographical quantitative parameters, obtained by a 3-D automated wide range profilometer.
