چکیده
This paper presents the design of an autonomous navigation system called ODYSSEUS and discusses its operation. The ODYSSEUS system consists of five main parts: ( I ) a triangle base with three programmable wheels, (2) a special digital compass based on the Grey code, (3) a sonar system in a hexagonal configuration, (4) a slope meter, and (5) a microprocessor controller that selects information from the above components and determines the navigation paths.

متن کاملMotion Estimation via Dynamic Vision - Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on
Abstruct-Zstimating the three-dimensional motion of an object from a sequence of projections is of paramount importance in a variety of applications in control and robotics, such as autonomous navigation, manipulation, servo, tracking, docking, planning, and surveillance. Although “visual motion estimation” is an old problem (the first formulations date back to the beginning of the century), on...
متن کاملModeling and Intelligent Control System Design for Overtaking Maneuver in Autonomous Vehicles
The purpose of this study is to design an intelligent control system to guide the overtaking maneuver with a higher performance than the existing systems. Unlike the existing models which consider constant values for some of the effective variables of this behavior, in this paper, a neural network model is designed based on the real overtaking data using instantaneous values for variables. A fu...
