چکیده
During the revision of this paper, a theoretical section and some results were added from another related paper that was in review at that time and subsequently published as Urteaga et al. (2009). Similarly, some studies were added from Hakkarinen and Han (2008) that we presented at a workshop. During the revision, the authors of this paper failed to refer to Urteaga et al. (2009) and Hakkarinen and Han (2008). We believe this is a major oversight on our part. We have invited Iñigo Urteaga, Kevin Barnhart, and Doug Hakkarinen to be co-authors of this paper, which they have gracefully accepted. This correction should reflect the addition of them as co-authors and the modified author list should be: Philip Loden, Qi Han, Lisa Porta, Iñigo Urteaga, Kevin Barnhart, Doug Hakkarinen, Tissa Illangasekare and Anura P. Jayasumana.

A wireless sensor system for validation of real-time automatic calibration of groundwater transport models
Please cite this article in press as: Loden, P., et models. J. Syst. Software (2009), doi:10.1016/j.j In this paper, we present the use of a wireless sensor network in a lab for subsurface contaminant plume monitoring with the objective of automatic calibration of groundwater transport models. A tank configured to simulate an aquifer was used as a testbed, and a 2D model was created based on th...

Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...
متن کاملIntegration of Groundwater Transport Models with Wireless Sensor Networks
Groundwater transport modeling is intended to aid in remediation processes by providing prediction of plume behavior. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), an emerging technology, allows integration of data from multiple sensors to form an integrated, distributed network that monitors dynamic hydrological and environmental processes. As the wireless nodes are resource constrained, mass transport pre...
متن کاملInvestigating future changes in groundwater quantity and quality in the Khash alluvial aquifer through numerical groundwater flow and solute transport modeling
The Khash alluvial aquifer, in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, supplies the water needed for agriculture, drinking, and industry in the Khash area. In order to predict the future status of groundwater level and water quality, and to find aquifer management solutions, groundwater flow and solute transport models were developed using MODFLOW and MT3DMS. GMS 10.3 was used to develop the model. Ca...
