چکیده
We show that the boost-invariant and cylindrically asymmetric hydro-dynamic equations for baryon-free matter may be rewritten as only two coupled partial differential equations. In the case where the system exhibits the cross-over phase transition, the standard numerical methods may be applied to solve these equations. An example of our results describing non-central gold on gold collisions at RHIC energies is presented.

The Effect of Asymmetric Water Entry on the Hydrodynamic Impact
The effect of the asymmetric water entry over a submerged part of a ship on the hydrodynamic impact is investigated numerically. A wedge body is considered to study and the problem is assumed to be two-dimensional. The Results of symmetric and asymmetric impacts are compared together. The effect is found significant in the numerical simulation. The maximum hydrodynamic pressure at a heel angle ...

متن کاملDynamic Analysis of Cylindrically Layered Structures Reinforced by Carbon Nanotube Using MLPG Method
This paper deals with the dynamic analysis of stress field in cylindrically layeredstructures reinforced by carbon nanotube (CLSRCN) subjected to mechanical shock loading.Application of meshless local integral equations based on meshless local Petrov-Galerkin(MLPG) method is developed for dynamic stress analysis in this article. Analysis is carriedout in frequency domain by applying the Laplace...
متن کاملFirst and second sound in cylindrically trapped gases.
We investigate the propagation of density and temperature waves in a cylindrically trapped gas with radial harmonic confinement. Starting from two-fluid hydrodynamic theory we derive effective 1D equations for the chemical potential and the temperature which explicitly account for the effects of viscosity and thermal conductivity. Differently from quantum fluids confined by rigid walls, the har...
متن کاملAxisymmetric Self-similar Equilibria of Self-gravitating Isothermal Systems
All axisymmetric self-similar equilibria of self-gravitating, rotating, isothermal systems are identified by solving the nonlinear Poisson equation analytically. There are two families of equilibria: (1) Cylindrically symmetric solutions in which the density varies with cylindrical radius as R, with 0 ≤ α ≤ 2. (2) Axially symmetric solutions in which the density varies as f(θ)/r, where r is the...
