چکیده
This paper describes how to extend the capabilities of SIMULINK for the time-domain simulation of ZA modulators implemented by using switched-capacitor, switched-current and continuous-time circuits. considering the most important error mechanisms. The behavioural models of these circuits are incorporated into the SIMULINK environment by using C-language S-function blocks, which leads to a drastic saving in the simulation time as compared to previous approaches based on MATLAB functions. The outcome is a complete SIMULINK block library that allows interactive, fast and accurate simulation of an arbitrary ZA topology (*I.

Modeling Band-pass Sigma-delta Modulators in Simulink
In this paper we present a complete set of behavioral SIMULINK models for the simulation of switched-capacitor band-pass sigma-delta (BP ΣΔ ) modulators. The models include most of the non-idealities which affect the performance of these circuits, such as sampling jitter, kT/C noise and operational amplifier parameters (noise, finite gain, finite bandwidth, slew-rate and saturation voltages). W...
متن کاملTime-Mode Signal Quantization for Use in Sigma-Delta Modulators
The rapid scaling in modern CMOS technology has motivated the researchers to design new analog-to-digital converter (ADC) architectures that can properly work in lower supply voltage. An exchanging the data quantization procedure from the amplitude to the time domain, can be a promising alternative well adapt with the technology scaling. This paper is going to review the recent development in t...
متن کاملBehavioral Modeling of Switched-Capacitor Sigma–Delta Modulators
This paper presents a complete set of blocks implemented in the popular MATLAB SIMULINK environment, which allows designers to perform time-domain behavioral simulations of switched-capacitor (SC) sigma–delta ( ) modulators. The proposed set of blocks takes into account most of the SC modulator nonidealities, such as sampling jitter, noise, and operational amplifier parameters (white noise, fin...
متن کاملVHDL-AMS models for continuous-time Delta–Sigma modulators
Delta-Sigma modulation using switched capacitor (SC) techniques is an increasingly popular means of performing A/D (or D/A) conversion in modern applications. The main problem with SC-techniques though is the limitation of the maximum sampling frequency. For wideband applications such as VDSL a continuous time implementation is a better solution. However, the simulation of continuous–time 16 mo...
