An Intelligent Natural-language Interface for ArcView

چکیده

The ordinary GIS systems use command line, menu or window interface, which are difficult for a naïve user to use. In this paper, SNePS (the Semantic Network Processing System) is used to represent geographic spatial knowledge. An intelligent naturallanguage interface between ArcView and SNePS (the Semantic Network Processing System) was implemented. The interface will accept the input command and query in natural language format, transfer it to Avenue command, and then apply it in ArcView.
