چکیده

This paper addresses the problem of visual target tracking by use of robust primitives. More precisely, we evaluate the use of color segments features in a matching procedure and compare the dichromatic color lines (Gouiffès and Zavidovique, 2008) with the existing ones, defined in the HSV color space. The motion parameters of the target to track are computed through a voting strategy, where each pair of color segments votes first for one new location, then for two scale changes. Their vote is weighted according to the pairing relevancy and to their location in the bounding box of the tracked object. The comparison is made in terms of robustness to color illumination changes and in terms of quality (robustness of the location of the target during the time). Experiments are carried out on pedestrian and car image sequences. Finally, the dichromatic lines provide a better robustness to appearance changes with fewer primitives. It finally results in a better quality of the

People Re-identification in Non-overlapping Field-of-views using Cumulative Brightness Transform Function and Body Segments in Different Color Spaces

Non-overlapping field-of-view (FOV) cameras are used in surveillance system to cover a wider area. Tracking in such systems is generally performed in two distinct steps. In the first step, people are identified and tracked in the FOV of a single camera. In the second step, re-identification of the people is carried out to track them in the whole area under surveillance. Various conventional fea...

Segment Cluster Tracking

Segment Cluster Tracking is a new approach of motion analysis in the class of mapping methods/algorithms. It solves the correspondence problem by matching image regions, resp. features of image regions. The image regions are created by combining color segments the result of a color segmentationto segment clusters. The tracking task is to find best correspondences between clusters of segments in...

A New Structural Matching Method Based on Linear Features for High Resolution Satellite Images

Along with commercial accessibility of high resolution satellite images in recent decades, the issue of extracting accurate 3D spatial information in many fields became the centre of attention and applications related to photogrammetry and remote sensing has increased. To extract such information, the images should be geo-referenced. The procedure of georeferencing is done in four main steps...
