چکیده
We introduce Chern-Simons interaction into the three dimensional fourfermi theory, and suggest a possible line of non-Gaussian infrared stable fixed points of the four-fermi operator, which is characterized by the Chern-Simons coupling. 0∗ [email protected]

Θ Effects in Chern-simons Qed2+1 with a Four-fermi Interaction
We investigate the effects of the Chern-Simons coupling on the high energy behavior in the (2 + 1)-dimensional Chern-Simons QED with a four-Fermi interaction. Using the 1/N expansion we discuss the Chern-Simons effects on the critical four-Fermi coupling at O(1/N) and the β function around it. Highenergy behavior of Green’s functions is also discussed. By explicit calculation, we find that the ...
متن کاملNon - Fermi Liquid Behaviour of Electrons in the Half - filled Honeycomb Lattice ( A renormalization group approach )
A system of electrons in the two-dimensional honeycomb lattice with Coulomb interactions is described by a renormalizable quantum field theory similar but not equal to QED 3. Renormalization group techniques are used to investigate the infrared behavior of the system that flows to a fixed point with non-Fermi liquid characteristics. There are anomalous dimensions in the fermionic observables, n...
متن کاملLow Momentum Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction and Fermi Liquid Theory
We use the induced interaction of Babu and Brown to derive two novel relations between the quasiparticle interaction in nuclear matter and the unique low momentum nucleon-nucleon interaction Vlow k in vacuum. These relations provide two independent constraints on the Fermi liquid parameters of nuclear matter. We derive the full renormalization group equations in the particle-hole channels from ...
متن کاملRenormalization Group Approach to Interacting Fermions
The stability or lack thereof of nonrelativistic fermionic systems to interactions is studied within the Renormalization Group (RG) framework, in close analogy with the study of critical phenomena using φ scalar field theory. A brief introduction to φ theory in four dimensions and the path integral formulation for fermions is given before turning to the problem at hand. As for the latter, the f...
متن کاملMarginal-Fermi-liquid behavior from two-dimensional Coulomb interaction
A full, nonperturbative renormalization group analysis of interacting electrons in a graphite layer is performed, in order to investigate the deviations from Fermi-liquid theory that have been observed in the experimental measures of a linear quasiparticle decay rate in graphite. The electrons are coupled through Coulomb interactions, which remain unscreened due to the semimetallic character of...
